Amy Nix, founder and designer of nix&stones, delivers with her jewelry a whole new way for women to experience glamour. With a background in fashion marketing, and a career as wardrobe stylist for magazines such as Elle and Detour, Amy has now tuned her creative energies into a blossoming collection of unique necklaces, earrings and bracelets.

 

Her inspiration comes from her travels around the country and her daily life at home with her children. Each collection harbors one of a kind pieces, with stones that range from Swarovski crystals, amethyst and citrines, to geodes, agates and fresh water pearls. With rich colors and glistening accents, Amy Nix brings a sophisticated voice to the world of fashion, with fun and original themes that add life and vibrancy to any outfit. Along her journey Amy has also found a way to give inspiration to others. Her involvement with domestic violence shelters has both encouraged and empowered women suffering from domestic abuse. She has helped employ numerous women from shelters and half way houses to create their own pieces and collections. Her goal is that they may experience the world of beauty and creativity that she so enjoys and gains happiness from.

The “Domestic Violence Angel Wing” was created to celebrate the strength from the women she encounters, and proceeds from this necklace go to Tri-County Crisis Center,(www.tricountycrisiscenter.org)  New York.
